My name is Maureen and I have been a Hairstylist for over 26 years. I am also an American Board Certified Master Haircolorist.
At first, the decision to pursue a chemical-free salon came by necessity. After many years working in a toxic salon environment, I developed chemical sensitivities.
Not wanting to leave the career that I love, I began exploring my options and discovered Organic Color Systems . A professional hair color line, that is free of ammonia, and other harsh ingredients, with the benefits of organic essences.
I also wanted to be able to offer a "truly" chemical-free haircolor service to those that had allergies, were pregnant, recovering from cancer or just weary of any and all chemicals.
That's when I was introduced to the wonderful properties of body art quality Henna. Pure plant dyes like henna, cassia, indigo, buxus and amla provide beautiful color and hair that is in fantastic condition... vibrant, shiny and gorgeous... all without any concerns of toxicity!
